Half Day Bike Tour

You’ve seen the Old Town and shopped the New Town, and now you want to explore further afield. This 3 hour tour helps you discover some of Edinburgh’s different neighbourhoods, away from the main tourist attractions. From the hip district of Leith and The Shore, to the charming neighbourhood of Stockbridge. Cycle the water of Leith, wander the Botanic Gardens and take the perfect picture in Dean Village.

What you will see:

  • Leith walk
  • Leith Links
  • The Shore
  • The Water of Leith
  • Botanic Gardens
  • Inverleith Park
  • Stockbridge
  • Dean Village

Difficulty Level:
If you can ride a bike in a straight line and round corners then you should manage just fine! We cycle at a leisurely pace and take plenty of stops. There is also a half hour stop where there will be time for toilets and refreshments. While the tour lasts 3 hours, the overall time cycling is approximately 45 minutes, and the distance covered is roughly 7.2 miles/ 11.6km.

Where does it start?
Meet your guide outside Leith Cycle Co. This is where we’ll get you kitted out with bikes and helmets, and also where the tour ends.

It’s an easy walk or bus ride from the centre. The nearest bus stop is Balfour Street (currently serviced by buses 7, 10, 14, 16, 22, 25 and 49)!
